Secwepemc land defenders building tiny houses along the Trans Mountain pipeline route to assert Secwepemc law and jurisdiction.

Why it matters

Trans Mountain crosses 518 km of unceded Secwepemc territory without Secwepemc consent. Tiny houses block access and assert that the land is home — not a pipeline corridor.

Background

The Tiny House Warriors build strategically placed tiny homes along the Trans Mountain route near Blue River and other Secwepemc territory. The project combines land defence, housing, and assertion of Secwepemc jurisdiction.
